Identify & Implement Changes

Continuous Improvement

At the Searle Center, we encourage a mindset of continuous improvement, where data is regularly reviewed and actions are adjusted accordingly. This iterative approach ensures ongoing enhancement of learning and teaching practices and student outcomes.

Our Guiding Principles of Continuous Improvement:

  • Focus on Evidence: Decisions should always be grounded in data, not assumptions.
  • Commit to Action and Iteration Faculty should be dedicated to acting on data, understanding its impact, and making necessary adjustments to improve learning and teaching.
  • Leverage Collaboration: Effective teamwork and shared responsibility are critical for success.
  • Elevate Student Voice: Students are essential partners in this process. Involving them ensures equity, transparency, and insights from key stakeholders.

The Data Wise Project is an eight-step model that empowers educators to collaboratively use data to enhance teaching and learning. This model places strong emphasis on 'acting' by using data to drive meaningful change.
