We design meaningful transitions for faculty new to Northwestern, followed by ongoing outreach to build community among the cohort and lay the foundation for career-spanning engagement with the Searle Center­.

Events for New Faculty, 2025–26

Final Week of August | 10:00 AM–3:00 PM

Register for our annual, immersive three-day Course Design Institute centered on developing a new Canvas-ready syllabus for the upcoming academic year, driven by evidence-based practices, iterative discussion, and reflective learning communities. Register.

September 3 | 8:30 AM–5:00 PM

Participate in the Office of the Provost's New Faculty Welcome Program. The Searle Center will be leading a session on Enriching Learning through Meaningful Conversation.  RSVP.

October 8 | 3:30–4:30 PM

Join us at 627 Dartmouth Place for a casual Mixer for New Faculty with last year’s new faculty cohort, where you’ll connect with peers and last year’s new faculty cohort in our welcoming gathering spaces. RSVP.

Equip yourself with the knowledge and skills needed to thrive at Northwestern at the New and Early Career Faculty Institute, led by the Office of the Provost.
