Student Belonging and Success Reading Circle Series

The Student Belonging and Success Reading Circle Series offers an opportunity to focus on students’ experiences, development, and their perceptions of commonly used learning practices and the classroom environment.

Overview

This 60-minute, online reading circle interacts with peer-reviewed literature that centers student voices, as we consider how innovations in learning and teaching impact students’ belonging and success.

Objectives

Participants will
  • Enhance knowledge of scholarly literature, pedagogical frameworks, and practices that enhance learning in STEM classrooms through empirical readings, self-reflection, and dialogue.

Eligibility

Open to graduate students, postdocs, staff, and instructors at all stages of their careers.

Registration

Pre-session readings will be sent via email upon registration.

This program is part of the broader CIRTL @ Northwestern efforts aimed at supporting future faculty from all disciplines. Graduate students and postdocs may participate in this program as part of the CIRTL Certificate Program.
